What it is

Spring Daze is one of the town’s two Cary Art Daze festivals, held the last Saturday in April in Bond Park and paired with Earth Day, according to the town’s festivals page. The other is Lazy Daze downtown in August.

The town’s page lists:

  • An artist market of more than 170 North Carolina artists
  • Four stages of North Carolina entertainers
  • More than 20 food and drink vendors
  • Kid Daze activities for children
  • Earth Day Lane and the town’s waste-reduction efforts
  • More than 100 volunteers

Artist, food vendor and nonprofit applications for 2027 open in October, the town says.

Getting there

Driving in is the slowest way: the town says parking inside Bond Park is limited and first come, first served, and that car access to the park is likely to close at times when the lots fill. These arrangements are from the town’s getting to the festival page for the most recent festival; the town confirms each year’s details before the day.

  • Free shuttle: air-conditioned buses ran from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., about every 15 minutes, from the Cary Town Hall Parking Deck, 121 Wilkinson Ave., and Green Hope High School, 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road. The ride is 15 to 20 minutes, and longer at peak times. Buses stop at the Bond Park Community Center, 150 Metro Park Drive, about a five-minute walk from the entrance.
  • GoCary: fare-free Route 4 stops in front of Bond Park. Track buses on the GoCary app.
  • Walk or bike: the Oxxford Hunt, White Oak Creek and Black Creek greenways reach the park. A free bike valet sits at the festival entrance on the White Oak Creek Greenway. Bikes and scooters are not allowed inside the festival.
  • Rideshare: set the drop-off address to 120 Maury Odell Place and follow signs to the rideshare drop-off.
  • Car: every lot is about a five-minute walk from the entrance.

Accessibility

Accessible parking has been offered at Cary Town Hall and Green Hope High School, and in every Bond Park lot except the blue lot, first come, first served. The shuttles are wheelchair-accessible, and a mobility shuttle runs from the community center and the lots to the festival’s west entrance, avoiding the steep ground in between, according to the town’s accessibility page. Paths are paved or ramped, though some are on a slope. Leashed service animals are welcome.
