Where it is
OpenStreetMap also names Amberly as a place, with McCrimmon Parkway running through it and the Cary Park neighborhood to the south. A lake crossed by the Amberly Lake Greenway sits in the middle. The area is inside Cary’s town limits, but the county line runs through it: 10 of the 12 Amberly areas in the town’s data are in Wake County and two, part of Carolina Preserve at Amberly and Peninsula at Amberly, are in Chatham County, according to the Census Bureau’s geocoder. Chatham County homes pay Chatham’s county tax rate instead of Wake’s and are served by Chatham County Schools. Check the parcel on Wake County’s iMAPS map or Chatham County’s GIS before you buy.

How we built this page
The neighborhood list comes from the Town of Cary’s residential boundaries data and its Imagine Cary Community Plan, which names Amberly. School zones come from the district’s attendance-area map for 2026-27, checked at the middle of each neighborhood; a home near a zone line can differ. We found no town or county registry of homeowners associations for Amberly, so this page does not describe them.
